According to Kevin Burkhardt on Twitter, the Mets have traded Ryan Church.
Church is heading to the Atlanta Braves for Jeff Francoeur.
I'm at a concert, so I'll keep it brief, but I don't understand this at all. Is the trade really worth it? More later.

Tomorrow, July 11, I will be on Mets Weekly on SNY.
I traveled into the city about a month ago to film a segment about my blog, Twitter, Game Chats and everything I do about the blog. We filmed in the Mets Clubhouse Store on 42nd and 5th.
It was awesome to have this chance and I’m somewhat excited (if you couldn’t tell).
So check in on SNY at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow (which also happens to be my 21st birthday!) to watch the segment.
Jerry Manuel: You play third base?
Matt Vojack: Yeah
Jerry Manuel: We might need you tonight.
Check out David Wright (and many other Mets) giving this kid the time of his life at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
“Obviously, No. 1, we have to remain positive. But let's have a plan. Don't get caught up in what's surrounding us. Let's focus on our jobs and figure it out. Let's see how good we are.”
-Jerry Manuel
The Livan magic has run out.
The Los Angeles Dodgers (55-31) beat the New York Mets (40-45) by a score of 11-2.
Livan Hernandez has given the Mets half a season. I think that’s a lot more than anyone could have expected. It’s run it’s course and the Mets should be thankful. But that looks like it’s about it for Livan and the team should bring up Jon Niese for the next start.
11 hits in four innings, with eight earned runs is pretty terrible. It was good while it lasted.
Other than Hernandez, not much of note happened. Pat Misch and Brian Stokes were good. Tim Redding, not so much.
The offense sputtered again against Randy Wolf and couldn’t overcome the four-spot the Dodgers put up in the first inning.
Randy Wolf (3-3, 3.49 ERA) vs. Livan Hernandez (5-4, 4.56 ERA)

Fernando Martinez has hit the disabled list with inflammation in his right knee.
Argenis Reyes was recalled from the minor leagues after heading down only on Tuesday when the Mets needed to make room for Oliver Perez.
Here’s the lineup for the finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers, noticeably without Daniel Murphy after two doubles and a gem of a play yesterday.
Both Brad Holt and Jenrry Mejia appear in Baseball America’s Midseason Top 50 prospects.
Mejia will play in the Futures Game in St. Louis on July 12.
Here’s to hopeful futures in Mets uniforms in their futures. Whew, that’s a lot of futures.
