When the Mets traded Billy Wagner to the Boston Red Sox, they were set to receive two players to be named later in return.
One of those players is Chris Carter. He was all set to come to the Mets until the Yankees claimed him off waivers, forcing the Sox to pull him back. Carter will make his was into the Mets organization once the season ends.
Now, the other player has been named.
Eddie Lora, a 20-year-old first baseman, his the final player in the Wagner trade. This season, Lora has hit .222 / .287 / .414 with the Red Sox Rookie League team .
For his career, spanning 569 plate appearances, none above the Rookie League, Lora has hit .227 / .359 / .362 with 12 home runs and 52 RBI.
The Mets look to make it three in a row, as Nelson Figueroa is on the mound with Josh Thole behind the plate.

The Mets return home to Citi Field to welcome the Chicago Cubs. Here’s the lineup…
A lot of hubbub was made over David Wright switching to the new S100 helmet from Rawlings.
Well, Wright will be mocked no longer.
Wright said he is switching back his old helmet because the newer, larger one just didn’t fit him right.
“It's just not comfortable,” Wright told reporters. “It's just the last thing I need to be worried about in the box, to be trying to shove it on my head.”
So long, Marvin the Martian and Dark Helmet. We shall miss you.
“Those are lifelong dreams that are being fulfilled right before your eyes.”
