The Mets have picked up Jason Dubois from the Chicago Cubs organization for cash considerations.
Dubois, 30, was hitting .302 AVG / .390 OBP / .502 SLG with 11 home runs and 50 RBI for Triple-A Iowa.
He has seen the major leagues in parts of two seasons with the Cubs and the Indians. In 86 games, the last in 2005, Dubois has hit .233 / .300 / .356 in 227 plate appearances.
“I'm pretty excited,” Dubois told the Des Moines Register.
He will be assigned to Triple-A Buffalo.
